Medical Facility

The Kisumu National Polytechnic, like most premier academic institutions, has a busy medical clinic to serve the institution’s stakeholders.
The Clinic offers medical services for students and staff, dealing with moderate health cases. Most diagnoses are common illnesses such as malaria, typhoid, upper respiratory tract infections, etc. The facility also offers basic health exams like malaria, sugar (random blood sugar) and blood pressure tests.
The staff refers severe cases and chronic illnesses like diabetes and hypertension to Kisumu County Hospital for better management.
Most students have responded well to the services at the clinic and the medical staff has helped severe cases like hypoglycemia, acute asthmatic cases and severe bacterial infections.
Two members of staff operate the facility, including registered clinical officer Mr. Joel Otieno Odoyo and Nursing officer Alma Anyango Akulla.
